Well, good then.

So now you can drop the lawsuit, correct? After all, the reason that the council members have stood in protest was the sports complex. (Again- a move you exalted the "Killer Ds" for when faced with redistricting.)

I have an idea- drop the sports complex completely. Let the folks who will be sitting council members decide if they are willing to risk their political capital on the proposed project, will put it to a vote of the PEOPLE or if they have better ideas in mind- you know, like infrastructure upgrades for the Eagle Ford population increase.

After all, you're basically a non-factor since you're a lame duck at this point. Leave office with some shred of character- not that doing so would exonerate your action of the past few years- but at least you could hang your hat on finallly coming to your senses.

Just a thought. Take it or leave it- either way you've awakened a sleeping giant.
