Over the years I have found Sheriff Tackitt to be a fine and decent man. I believe he has done an adequate job as sheriff. He has certainly shown he cares about the citizens of Wilson County. There are always more things people want done but the high priority things must come first. More deputies and more equipment can always be used. More taxes are required to pay for them. I think Sheriff Tackitt has done a good job of working within the budget he is allowed. He has my vote.
