Hey Puzzled, do you know why banks would suddenly start making bad loans, a concept that was totally contrary to good banking practices? What could possibly motivate such an illogical reversal in the way they do business?

What do you suppose intervened to make such stupid loan decisions practical or even widely practiced and, for a time, quite profitable?

Here is a hint: CRA + Clinton + Barney Franke = sub-prime loan disaster.
