Rock'n chair Rambler
Over Taxed, TX
October 31, 2012 7:08am

"Where is the outrage over this program which takes resurces from our schools, and shifts tax burden to the middle class? "

Where is the outrage over how much is spent (wasted?) on these opulent shrines to the education gods, sprawling K-12 school complexes that look like major universities?
Did we reeeally need the entry to Floresville HS to look like Buckingham Palace? And now we have to borrow money and raise taxes to fix the courthouse which is collapsing, give our elected officials all raises ... AGAIN, and hire a few more deputies.

The tax rate for the ISD is triple the county rate. In other words, we are spending 3 times as much on schools than on basic government services.
