Help Wanted

The Floresville Independent School District is accepting applications for Grounds Maintenance Worker. Terms of employment: 260 days, 5 days per week, 8-hour workday per year; hours may be modified based on changes in mission requirements. Primary purpose: To help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times. Education/Certification: License requirements, Texas Motor Vehicle Operators License, Structural Pest Control Board Technician Pesticide License. Special Knowledge/Skills: 1. Good knowledge of the operation, trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of ground maintenance equipment. 2. Must demonstrate good mathematical calculation skills and reading comprehension skills. 3. Good knowledge of safety precautions to avoid injury to himself and other. Experience: Prior lawn care experience or grounds maintenance experience in an educational institution or environment. Interested applicants will need to apply online at www.FISD.us.
The City of Floresville is currently accepting applications for lifeguards. Applicants must be 16 years of age and should be comfortable in and around water. Certification requires a 300 meter pre-requisite swim, demonstrating both front crawl (free style) and breaststroke. Applications may be picked up and dropped off at the City of Floresville front office, 1120 D Street, Mon.-Fri., 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Deadline to accept applications will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Do you think the debt ceiling should be frozen in the\

Chopin, In your civil service career, have you known
any new workers who outperformed the older entrenched
workers ? Usually talent shines through very quick.
So much for merit based decisions. Without new talent,
the whole almost tenured system may wither on the vine.

I still don't believe the economy would have tanked
by restoring taxes to the level when the economy was
doing fine under President Clinton. Doesn't make sense
to me. Maybe if Bush had never cuts taxes and assumed
more debt to pay for two wars, we might not be in the
current mess. Just saying.
