Why do Republicans claim class warfare when taxes
on high income people are raised back to the level
of the Clinton era but are silent while our progressive
tax system has always taxed the wealthy at a much
high rate than the rest of the population. And now
the Senate Minority leader wants to means test for
Medicare. All should be reminded that the income cap
for Medicare taxes was removed in 1994. High income
people pay from several times up to hundreds of times
the amount of Medicare taxes that middle class taxpayers
pay. And now, the head Republican in the Senate wants
to deny them the benefits that they paid dearly for.
How's that for spreading the wealth. George Wallace
was right when he said "There's not a dime difference
between the two."
