For those concerned with the parks - at the last Council meeting, the Mayor did say that the Parks Foundation would meet on Jan 23. In the Coouncil meeting prior to Christmas, new members were appointed to the Foundation. The last meeting of the Parks Foundation was held in 2010.
I would have to say that this Council is working hard to energize every aspect of the City's business. Didn't the City Manager point out last Thursday that the Ordinance Committee had not done anything since 2009?
Another example worth mentioning, the annual audit of the city. There is a meeting set for today at 1100 and the agenda is posted on this web site. We didn't see this under the previous administration, did we?
From my perspective, we should encourage the Mayor and the Council to continue their efforts to remedy the apathy under the previous administration.
