Ms Niemela seems to leave a very important detail out. Those non-violent protests were only allowed to exist because a force with guns was available to enforce the non-violent protester. Poland's Solidarity was only successful due to internationa pressure from the US and western allies. Who will defend you, if Western governments do not support your non-violent actions? If the Egyptian military would have got involved to stop the protests, it would have ended differently(See Syria). State Police and Federal Agents protected the Civil Rights marches. Finally, who will protect your home when the big bad wolf comes knocking? Police react to a situation they aren't omnipresent. Anyhow, what a loon?
