 		 I have been trying to get financial information about the 4-A Corp for at least two months.

I have gotten incomplete - pieces of this and that - that is of no value really.

Lara knows what I am asking for- she is the comptroller - she knows what we need to make sense of where the money is being spent and on what. Don't get me wrong - I have gotten loads of paper and downloads - but it is of no value and they know it. I just swim through the paper work - to find nothing can be cross checked.

The Mayor said she would help me - but, I have recieved nothing from my formal request. (the Mayor also gave me many papers - but, again, piece meal of different years reciepts and ideas for menues from various simular Civic Centers) I saw the Mayor on the second of February and then was asked to restate my request last Friday. I restated it - but, I never heard if she got my return email with the restated request. It is just one stall after another, I have been asking the staff directly before the Mayor said she would help me. I did not ask for her help, she offered. I did not want to get out of protocol or think I was asking for special treatment or being demanding (disrupting city staff business)

I asked at the 4-A meeting if we could get the information requested as a board. The 4-A attorney said he would make that request. (by the way the taxpayers are paying this very nice attorney $2,000.00 a month.)

Now, am I being aggressive? Am I being unreasonable? Am I complaining? Am I insisting special treatment and interferring with city business?

I am being respectful,peaceful and patient. And PERSISTANT. Just because I am not dogging the city staff does not mean I have gone away.

The 4-A needs the financials in order to be effective. We can not work in the dark.

Call my persistance what they want - can they just give the 4-A the financials for 2012?

I put this in a public forum - because this is the taxpayers money we are talking about - and I think the taxpayers should know what is going on - AND what happened in the past to get Floresville in such a financial disaster - having to do with the Civic Center. (by the way - we are asking only for 2012 financial information - I am not trying to over load city staff with anything else, I am not asking for past years financials-just current financials, for now)

We need to know where we are going - AND where we have been - so,we will not repeat this terrible way of handling the taxpayers money. .... Where can we cut? - where can we spend the money more effectively -how can the Event Center make money so it can take financial load off the city funds.

These are things the 4-A board are actively working on.
