Untrue Resident
Floresville

Alvin, the article was about Joslin complaining. You took that article and made it about a non-career politician stepping down immediately for not apologizing. My point was to refocus the problem on the problem, Joslin. The complaint appears to be bogus. The letter did not provide any sustainable facts. In fact, on this blog several people indicated they were improperly named as supporting Joslin’s complaint. Further according to the complaint, Joslin indicated he was threatened. Again, if this is true what kind of threat. What was the threat, if you don’t perform your work, you will get fired. Is that really a threat or a statement of fact? Anyhow, I think a defamatory lawsuit against Joslin is in order. Joslin has to go not Miller. Joslin has proved he cannot perform the function of a city manager and I never saw where he was qualified to be a city manager. His degree is a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Education, specializing in Law Enforcement from Wayland Baptist University. In his chosen profession, he was charged with official oppression. The case was dismissed “in the interest of justice.” This motion was contingent upon Joslin surrendering his peace officer’s license and quitting his campaign for Wilson County judge.
In his current position, he stated in a letter that WCN published “In last week's Wilson County News, you might have read several articles referencing the financial static (his spelling) of our city….The City of Floresville is in good financial shape and complying with proper accounting practices.” I have but one word to describe this statement - incompetent. The letter can be found at

Bottom-line, in the private sector, Joslin would have been fired already. Mr. Miller, not being a career politician, doesn't know the games you have to play with government employees. So, you asking him to step down is over the top. Mr. Miller is now working in the public sector so everything is public and he has to become a better government leader vs. a private sector leader. Therefore, I see no reason for him to apology to Joslin but maybe an acknowledgement that he will response to complaints (which appear to be false) in a more well thought out manner. Either way, Mr. Miller’s intentions were for the good not the questionable motives of Joslin.
