Help Wanted

Full Charge Bookkeeper position - for local La Vernia company. Accounts payables/receivables, process cash receipts, monthly bank reconciliations, general journal entries and financial reports; knowledge of Peachtree/Sage 50 and previous experience in a wholesale bakery environment preferred, strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required as well as GAAP. CCSCT, a private non-profit, is seeking a part-time driver (25 hours per week) for its Aging Nutrition Program in Floresville. Applicants must have a HS diploma or equivalent. Prior experience as a driver and bilingual preferred, but not required. Applicant must successfully complete a pre-employment background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check. Applications can be picked up at 1519 3rd St. or can be completed online at www.ccsct.org. Starting pay is $8.46 hour.

Oh yes. The "free money" from Washington does it every time. Free money is a large part of our $16 trillion + debt. Do not accept responsibility locally for the problem and solve it ourselves. Go see Uncle Henry and get a free handout. Typical. The mayor can run off to Washington but does not have time to see that the requested operating reports from an operation that may have caused a large part of the financial problem are produced. This is deja vue all over again.
