The background checks are useless without some sort of registration scheme, thats the real issue, History can tell you what happens after that. This is about power, the Dem's know (as we all do, nobody wants to say it) there will be another mass shooting sooner or later, the rate has not changed since the 70's, around 5 per year. Once the Gov't knows what you have they can begin collecting. Careful what you wish for.
