Help Wanted

Receptionist needed for busy insurance office in La Vernia, looking for someone who is dependable with strong computer skills, customer service skills, and the ability to multi-task are necessary. Applications can be picked up at 1114 Tenth St. in Floresville. Resumes are required.
ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

I moved to San Antonio from Virginia back in June of 81 and started working with Ryder the following month and Joey was the first person who trained me there and as the years went by I can remember nothing but happy postive things about Joey from at work or getting together after work with other coworkers and after so many years I cant recall anything or anybody saying anything negative about the man. There are so many memories of Joey I can recall at work or trying to play softball with him one or two times because I was terrible at the sport but I could play him in basketball with him and Ken Castro. Even though I havent seen Joey in years after leaving Ryder I can still see the smile and hear the laughs from him while in the shop.
And if your up there reading this Joey, I now know what queso is!
