The National Weather Service reported that at 11:30 p.m. May 25, the San Antonio River at Elmendorf already had reached 50.29 feet. It is expected to crest at 57.6 feet before daybreak. The evacuation order still is in effect and Red Cross volunteers say the shelter at Floresville Middle School has enough cots, water, and snacks for 70 people.
