My deepest sympathy for your loss.
Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy.
I would like to share some scriptures from the bible that have really helped me in times of my great sadness.
One is in Revelations 21:3&4 it gives us the promise that in the near future all pain, suffering and even death will be no more.
Then John 5:28 it says: "Do not marvel at this because the hour is coming in which ALL those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."
At that time we will have the opportunity to be reunited with out loved ones forever right here on earth, never having to say goodbye again. (Psalms 37:29)
May...."the father of tender mercies and the god of all comfort"....bring you the peace and comfort at this time of need. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)
