Tea Party? Really? You're blaming the Tea Party? How about all of those bluer-than-Avatar liberals who have had sway in Floresville Cit Hall for all these years? You know, the ones who would stand on their soapboxes and proclaim that they haven't raised your taxes in 10 years?

Your tax RATE didn't budge, but the valuations did, so your tax BILL rose every single year. Meanwhile, there was no maintenance of the water and sewer lines, so now they're so bad that they need money to fix them -- and it isn't there. That's why your water and sewer bills rose.

They also rose because commercial users weren't getting billed properly and the city kept losing money.

Lastly, your previous city managers kept raiding summertime water revenue to balance the general fund. While this practice might be legal, it is not encouraged by anyone who knows anything about municipal finance.

So your Tea Party assertion is purely a strawman argument. And how do I know? I've been reading the articles and watching the videos about these meetings.
