As a bus driver for FISD, I see driver's fail to stop for buses red lights & stop signs day in & day out. Our buses are equipped with flashing yellow lights that are activated PRIOR to a stop to warn other traffic that we WILL be stopping. People see this as a signal to speed up & pass us. And as notoriously as they do that, the majority of them are on their cellphones as well. Maybe if Floresville's finest spent more time patroling the school zones & less time patroling the HEB Express during "school zone hours", things would be safer for the children in their commute to & from school. All it would take is a handful of drivers to be issued TICKETS for failure to stop &/or use of cellphones in a school zone. Believe me...THEY'LL spread the word!!!!
