I agree, agree. I have lived here over 5 years and my job takes me up and down every county road from day to day. They are in horrible shape and havent heard one single plan for fixing them. Our school children suffer, especially in summer when thier bus has to travel on these dusty roads with the windows down just to keep the bus cool. I called the transportation office and they notified me that they would not put an air conditioned bus on most of the county roads, because they damage the buses. So who suffers? Our kids riding the bus that is who. I would love to see the commissioners and judge ride our school buses down these roads in the middle of summer when its 100 plus outside so they can get an idea of what are kids have to deal with every year. Im for the library and courthouse renovation, but there needs to be a plan, we cant do it all in one year, plan it out over the next 5 years, but pay some attention to our roads first. If they can do day to day bussiness in the building they are in now, then let it ride for a few years after we take care of our roads.
