Chopin and senior citizen, I feel your pain. I to believe that it was time for a change. I too, think there are several items that need scrutiny and investigation.
I CANNOT HOWEVER SHARE IN YOUR GLEE!!!

My problem is that this newly elected board that was elect has accomplished what to me seems to have been there one and only goal for the district, and now where do they go from here? They hire an interim Superintendent that not that long ago served in an administrative position in the District!
There is nothing wrong with change if it brings improvement and truly explores new directions. change for the sake of change itself makes no sense.

The new board was elected because they claimed they were going to change and improve our school district. So far it seems very much that they have no plan for improvement. None that I am aware of has voiced any plan or vision for improving the LVISD beyond CHANGING the administration. In my never to be humble opinion, that is not enough! I would challenge the patrons of LVISD to ask the board to share and define their plans and vision for the district going forward! HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE TRUST YOU HAVE PLACED IN THEM!
