I love to poke fun and feel no real fear of doing so
with my real name. Any fear that I might have is
minimized by the fact that I now reside about 300 miles
north of Wilson county, although I still own property
and pay taxes to the county and other entities. If I
still lived in Wilson county, I might be reluctant to
poke fun at overweight law enforcement personnel. Being
a news junkie, I visit many types of news and blog
sites and almost all permit the use of user ID's.
Would your proposed new rules limit the reply
to an article to only the one who pays for the
subscription ?
When I used my real name recently commenting
on the same subject, a reader accessed public records
and obtained the information on owned property in Wilson
county and also my address in Grand Prairie. He/She
promised to send me a Christmas card.
If the first amendment allows the press to protect sources, surely the WCN can do no less for their
readers. The majority of persons commenting in this
forum employ user IDs. That fact should give you a
hint of customer preference.
Do you know which deputy will play Santa Claus ?
