If you think that you are not risking harassment or worse by posting even mundane political observations or mild opinions you have your head in the sand. I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. As an engaged conservative I have often heard sidebar conversations from rigid ideological liberals that brag that they would make hiring and promotional decisions based a disdain for organized religion or social conservatism. In addition, I was living in San Diego, Ca when Proposition 8 was place on the ballot, and experienced a liberal witch hunt of epic proportions. Militant homosexual advocates vandalized yard signs, organized small business boycotts, assaulted elderly citizens supporting the proposition, tried to storm the gates of several Mormon temples, demonized pastors, and keyed cars all based on donor lists, letters to the editor, and bumper stickers. Are you ready to confront that firestorm, because it is already brewing in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio? Anonymity in these forums is a depressing necessity, until Texans realize and take action against the transformation that is occurring statewide.
