Dr. Tracy Miller is fool. He or she is saying the free market works...which is what we have had. That has been a disaster for poor people and struggling hospital districts that have had to deal with the unpaid bills accumulating at the emergency room. I don't know why the GOP and specifically the TEA party idiots are so opposed to everyone having access to insurance. For the first time in their adult lives, my two sisters have health insurance. They are not dead beats; they both have college degrees, and own their own small businesses, but pre-existing conditions have been the obstacle to health coverage. And this idiot economics professor thinks they can get coverage in a free market; I bet the professor has a nice group plan through their university.
