Having spent years in the retail trade at both single unit
and multiple unit supervisory positions, I find that
it's extremely difficult to keep talented employees.
It was usually a choice of promoting or losing them.
Employee productivity can often be directly related
to the leadership of management. It was my experience
that low unemployment rates impacted staffing levels far
more than high unemployment rates.
