The Austin-San Antonio National Weather Service Forecast Office at 11:31 a.m. extended the current Winter Weather Advisory to 4 p.m.

"Light freezing drizzle is expected over the next several hours across parts of South Central Texas. Near or below freezing temperatures will be slow to warm this afternoon, allowing for light, freezing drizzle to continue. Accumulations are expected to be mainly on exposed surfaces including bridges and overpasses, but are still likely to lead to travel problems. As temperatures slowly warm above freezing, drizzle will be liquid. In addition, precipitation will be ending during the afternoon, from west to east," according to an update posted on the National Weather Service's website.
