Guys, it is not a question of alternative fuel, I will leave the insults to you all to use.. this kind of oil is more toxic and environment hurting than the normal processes we use to get oil. The problem is, profit and big business will always trump safety and the environment. Have you already forgotten about the oil blow out in the gulf? There is another oil platform called the Atlantis that is larger and has the same problems as the other one that blew up. Yes I do have a problem with this. I am not against oil, I am against putting the environment last and peoples lives last on the importance list. Bob, you said if there is a leak we fix it.. yea right.. how long did it take to fix the leak in the gulf? How much damage was done to the wildlife and people? I seem to remember people committing suicide because their ability to make a living was jeopardized. I remember a pod of dolphins holding up the sick and dying dolphins in the gulf. I guess this is OK with you also? It is not with me and never will be. WE need to respect our environment and leave something for our kids to inherit that is not a toxic wasteland. You can hurl all the insults you want about me and anyone who cares too much but I am proud of my concern for our planet.
