I guess I called it early. This was like déjà vu . The very same thing happened for the Certificates of Obligation vote. All the early voting had the vote passing but after Stockdale finally came in , we lost by 11 votes. Stockdale is the seat of the establishment Republican Party and it wants to hold on to power as much as the Liberals. We are being played the same way by both parties just as it is in Washington DC. Wake up people, conservatism is under attack by the status quo . These politicians are drunk on their own power . If you want change you have to get involved. Go to the city council meetings and commissioners court and make your voice heard. Run for office . Don't wait for someone else to do it. I give Jay and Mike credit. They had the courage to stand up to the establishment and one of them actually pulled it off. If we can just change it one official at a time then there is hope. Jay came close and it angered a number of citizens that he lost. Let's make sure that "Dickie " is held to account in his "Quinney Jr." position. We will be watching. Thank God we have Mike Abbot watching for us. Let's stop this "good old boy" politics in this city and county. Stand up . Now.!
