First off, to Lily...

Your teacher should be fired, for violating the separation of church and state. They should also be fired for fabricating/altering history and deviating from a solid, factual curriculum. History doesn't line up with anything in the bible, and if you actually did your own research instead of taking people's words for things, you'd know that. You're a sad, sorry, gullible child using religion as a crutch because of a few bad relationships. You're stubborn, and can't handle a view of anything that doesn't match your idea of a perfect little world. That's why even your friends are getting sick of you. I have my sources, friend.

To Stockdale...

That stupid story about the dirt has been told to me many times, and like all pro-christian fictional examples of how foolish non-christians are, it lacks any common sense or knowledge of science, history, and mythology. There are 10,000 religions in existence today. Christianity ALONE has 3,830 different sects, each with slightly different dogma about what makes one a good christian of grants admission into heaven. That little fact alone throws Pascal's Wager out the door. Wanna know something? The "Tree of Life" in genesis is stolen from both Greek and Norse mythologies. In Norse mythology there's a tree that combines the three realms, and in greek mythology there's a tree that bears golden apples that grant immortality and was intended only for the gods to eat. You seem like the sort of ignorant person that probably hasn't even read the bible all the way through, just the few verses your preacher suggests on Sunday. Luke Chapter 14:25-36 paint a pretty good picture of what it takes to be a "desciple of christ jesus." And as history shows, it would seem to be as such, since throughout history christians have been some of the most barbaric, brutal, and horrid people and have committed some of the worst atrocities of ALL TIME.

Sorry for the long absence, I've been very busy with martial arts training and work. I'll have a letter in response to this finally, after a few months. Hopefully, Lily, you'll grow up and realize Mike's responses are extremely hollow in the face of reality. Life isn't what you want it to be, it never will be, and neither is death. Instead of living in a fantasy world, Lily, you should learn to adapt to reality, and evolve from your experiences, good and bad. Otherwise you'll never grow up, and your mind will become a stagnant cesspool of false hopes and rose-tint, like every other theist out there.

By the way, to anyone who think religious faith is good because it provides hope...Faith provides nothing more than false hope. And in the end, that makes those who are religious on any level of devoutness more foolish and empty than anyone mature enough to handle reality and smart enough to question inaccurate texts and hearsay.

To the Atheists reading this, next time you come across a Christian attempting to spread "the word", Make a point to interrupt them and ask them if they believe in unicorns, satyrs, dragons, and cockatrices. If they say no, inform them that they're mentioned in the bible. the King James version, and all preceeding translations. Attempts to modernize the bible with such things as "The New King James Version" and "The New International Version." have conveniently replaced these mentions of such ridiculous animals with words like Oxen (instead of unicorn), wild goat(s){instead of satyr}, and viper (instead of cockatrice). Not to mention other things that I'll be getting to. The only people with their eyes closed are theists.
