Definite similarities between tales of the infancy of Moses and Sargon, but major differences. Sargon was the son of a temple priestess according to a 7th century BCE account, while Moses was simply a Hebrew. Sargon was brought up by a drawer of water, while Moses was brought up by a daughter of the Pharaoh. Possible influence, but not completely certain.

Most of the presumed similarities between Jesus and Mithra are rooted in a misreading of Mithraism (which has left us no texts whatsoever). The Golden Rule was found in various forms throughout much of the ancient world. Generally though, the teachings of Jesus are closer to the teachings of Hillel (who died when he would have been about 12) than those of Confucius.

Be Well,
Bob Griffin
