Danny,

Your giant ego is what blinds you. It causes you to think that you know better than God or can explain His reasoning. Your previous letters are full of "if there was a god, why would he..." or "he would never..." What makes you think that God would have to explain everything to our understanding? What degree of faith would be needed it everything was laid out crystal clear? Perhaps God planted these seeds of doubt intentionally to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Moses stolen from Sargon? Someone as adept as you seem to be a picking apart the Bible should have had no problem seeing the huge discrepancies associated with the legend of Sargon. The account referenced dates to 700 BC, almost 1000 years AFTER the birth of Moses. Same goes for Mithra. Mithraism was a military cult and its similarities to Christianity did not emerge until AFTER Christ during the time Christianity was being introduced to Romans and Greeks, some of whom where Mithra pagans.

None of this stuff is what is really important. Consider just this: what other living being on this planet has a soul? By that I mean a sense of who they are and their place in the world with thoughts, desires, reasoning, passion, sympathy, ambition, far beyond that of any other creature? That being is your soul my friend and that soul is what God wants to groom for a place in his kingdom. The afflictions, trials, tribulation or even death to our mortal bodies would not be of great concern to God if he knows something better is in store for our souls. The purpose of the Bible is simply this: to demonstrate by means of history, stories, and parables, the path to salvation. Pick at it all you want, it won't make any difference.
