 		 Wow? Empirical evidence? Empirical evidence is used why you don't have facts of rational/reasoning prove. Evolution is an unproven theory; there is NO scientific proof that makes the theory a fact/proven theory. There have been many scientists who have manipulated (lied) the data to support the theory of evolution. However, the folks who cling to the THEORY of evolution as fact are blinded by their bias and comforted because it provides an answer where the validity is irrelevant. In scientific endeavors, it sometimes takes lifetimes to provide scientific reasons as to why a phenomenon occurs/exists. So, since there are no other scientific reasons for the existence or development of man, as a scientist, I think the theory is worth teaching as long as it is stressed it is just a possibility not a fact. I do believe the closed minds of some who believe in the theory of evolution is Ape like. In my research, I have not read one study to conclusively support the theory of evolution which has not been disproven. So, for now, I will let the Evolution believers; yes, believers, because it is faith not scientific prove; have their claim to the Ape Kingdom. As for Creationism, it has no place in a scientific discussion. However, a footnote of intelligent design could be accommodated. The question would be in what class; a history or world religions class? If in Science Class, intelligent design would be put forth as alternative non-scientific theory. I have seen worse science and propaganda in text then intelligent design.
