Well, Winston, there's the war on terror. The war in Iraq. In speeches advocating both wars, George Bush repeatedly invoked god into his speeches. There's abortion clinic bombings, and christian parents are more likely to be child abusers than any other religious faction in America.

Buddhism has NEVER been a ruling power in and of itself. Sure, there were a good deal of Chinese emperors that were Buddhist. But not once has Buddhism ever been a ruling party that had more authority than the royal family, unlike Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.

You think it's absurd that people bring up the actions of the church from Centuries ago? The Salem Witch Trials are a little less than two centuries old. You're forgetting something, Mr. Critical Thinker. History repeats itself. This is actually a preventable occurrence, but to do so ancient traditions and even some more modern traditions must be abolished completely, religion being the biggest offender throughout all of history.
