I thought Sk had very interesting points and I had no reason to join in. As for Dr Price, he claims to have graduated from a liberal private NJ college with at least one doctorate in Theology. He teaches at the Johnnie Colemon Theological Seminary which believes in God. Dr Price says he is an atheist and an Episcopalian (See his myspace profile). Talk about a confused man. My main points have been about the existence of God and addressing any outrageous statements. Both the founders of this country and Johnnie Colemon Theological Seminary are Deists. As for debating each and every bible verse does not prove or disprove the existence of God; let alone Jesus existed. For me, I donít really care about what books are in which denomination. Guess what? Catholics donít have the same books as Protestants or especially the Latter Day Saints. All versions and denomination have John 3:16.

As for Dr. Price whose degrees our classified as Art and not Science degrees is not exactly an Oracle of Delphi on the scientific determination on the existence of Jesus. So, reading and interpreting in your or Dr Priceís best interest doesnít make it true. Besides there are 300 million people in the US, so I am sure I can find someone whose theory I agree with or at least in your case, steal those arguments which fit your vision of the world. What else would you like to discuss about Dr Price?

Also, you keep insisting that all Christians believe that every word in the bible is to be taken literal. If so, why did Jesus teach in parables? As for actions in societies 2000 years ago and comparing to them societies today does not make much sense. Remember I am a critical thinker not ideologue.

As for the existence of Jesus, do you think it is possible for someone who was not a rich man or politically connected would be hard to prove there existence? What kind of records did we have 2000 years ago. In todayís society, we have so much information, the overload could make interpretation of existence hard.

So, what the people who say Jesus did not exist is; some guys made up gang called disciples who made a Jesus story. According to the bible, these disciplines were persecuted. Alternatively, you believe the spread of a blasphemy religion was allowed to spread without strife. There were several major religions in the region and all these followers picked this religion which talks about self-sacrifice. Of course, they had to be in self-sacrifice because many were murdered. If the story is correct, Paul and the others lived a life of denial and poverty. So, these disciples gave up money and power to preach a false God. Come on! Why is it so important to prove that Jesus did not exist? The devil needs to take your soul. Jesus did exist and there is no scientific proof that he didnít exist. Is this a familiar argument that nothing existed? Many important people lived 2000 years and we have no historical record or scientific proof. Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. So, where is the need for understanding every word in the bible?
