JPC, The difference between the mass murders of Stalin and Trotsky and the acts committed by the church are just that: Trotsky and Stalin were independent of any religious institution and were looking out more for themselves and their fledgling political systems, where as the Crusades and other such actions were more about spreading an established religious institution and destroying any enemies it had in the name of god.

The number of deaths caused by Christianity alone far outweigh those murdered by Trotsky and Stalin put together.

By the way, the jews in the camps starved due to cut off supply routes and other such lacks of supplies. It wasn't the result of an act of genocide. By the way, saying the holocaust didn't happen is not the same as saying they weren't put into camps. We did the same thing with the Japanese, throwing them into internment camps. You don't hear them whining much if at all compared to the jews, who tend to whine about how victimized their people are, even if the person complaining wasn't a part of any "suffering" generation.

I personally don't take much stock in Eugenics. In fact, once again, throughout our country's history the natives were slaughtered for being "filthy heathens."

While you and SK haven't committed any atrocities personally, there are plenty of people in this country that would commit such atrocities in the name of christianity if the church leaders called for it, without so much a flinching thought.

I'll say it again, the documentary Jesus Camp is proof alone that religion breeds nothing but hive-minded ignorance when applied fundamentally. It's the same as the Islamic indoctrination in the middle east as well as its spread through Europe.
