 		 I guess my main problem with the bible is that it has been under the control of men who created the inquisition and other horrors. I think that they probably did a bit of editing. After all, if they had no compunction whatsoever about killing millions of people, they probably didn't have any compunction about doing a bit of editing and revising here and there either. Then there is that european guy in all the paintings who is supposed to be Jesus. Somehow that messes with my credulity. I mean, if he looked anything like the people native to that region, it would go a long way to assuaging my doubts.

Then there was all that stuff about Gallileo Gallilea. I mean, the church put him under house arrest for like 20 years because he thought the earth circled the sun and not the other way around. Those are the same bunch of guys responsible for keeping the sacred truth. I've read that the Codex Sinaiticus, dating from the 3rd or 4th century A.D. is the oldest copy of the bible. We can't even date it to closer than 100 years, but we know that it is accurate? That doesn't make too much sense to me. Now, you may have a personal connection to Jesus, and he may have told you that you should believe that everything in the bible is 100 percent accurate. And I can get behind you there. I recognize that in this infinite and eternal universe, anything that is possible will occur. So, if a personal connection to a deity is possible, somewhere in time you will have it. But if you are just going by the word of some random preacher, my advice to you is, watch your wallet.
