No offense taken. The KJV 1611 is in modern english, just printed in gothic type without standardized spelling. Our KJV today is the same as the KJV 1611 minus the gothic type, with standardized spelling, and minus sum of the typsetting errors that were so common in the past with the tedious printing methods. I have studied middle and old english, which would be very hard to read and understand (if not impossible) for most people. To make my statement completely understanable to you, I would have to say that, based on my research on the topic, I have come to the conclusion that the KJV is the only reliable modern english translation. My questions to you would be, if you recognize the KJV is a "good" translation, why would it matter to you that I think it is the best based on my studies. Believe me, I have not heard any new arguments from either side of the debate that would convince me otherwise.

As for my comments to Mike. My intent is always to try to bring someone to Christ, not a church or religion, and certainly not to collect money.

Again, I took no offense from your post. I, in turn, hope that you took no offense from mine. Sometimes, in making a point, I am too aggressive with my speech. That is one of my thorns. I was just supprised at the long post from what I thought was a simple comment.
