JPC,

You said: "I believe that God preserved his word in only one version, The King James Bible."

Every religious person on the planet believes that his particular brand of religion is the correct one. Because religion is faith based, logic is not really required for membership; therefore, the idea that God would bless one part of creation and damn another doesn't seem to come into question. Why would God allow a devoutly religious person who studies the Koran, for example, with great zeal and religiosity, to waste his time with the wrong version? Why wouldn't heaven intervene and point out the truth? Logic suggests that there is great wisdom that has been compiled throughout the millenia in the various long-standing religious cultures. Logic also suggests that there is a lot of junk there too. If you believe that God has hidden his truth in one book only, why don't you believe that he has hidden truth amongst lies within that book? Why think that he stopped at a book, why not a chapter? Which chapter is the only truth - the only preservation of God's word. Maybe it is a sentence? Which sentence is the only preserved truth?
