RudyV Floresville May 4, 2009 8:55am	Carter, You must have fallen asleep during the rest of the class about taxes. Someone must pay for the services that people want government to provide. TAXES pay for these services. A ROAD: everyone can use it, so everyone can pay for it. Maybe you want all the roads to be privatly owned and pay a toll for its use. Your kids can pay a daily fee to be able to go to school every day. That way the family with one child does not have to pay to educate the family with 3 kids. You can complain about gov waste but taxes are used to pay for services, yes and sometimes to protect a local industry by taxing an import to make it more expensive than the local product. Would you go into a restaurant and eat a meal and refuse to pay full price because you did not drink water or use their parking lot.
