Provides services to consumer with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in their own home or family home. Assists them with hygiene, housekeeping, meal preparation, and other services as needed. Trains individuals to do these activities independently.  Provides transportation to medical appointments, outings and other community access activities. Transportation will include travel out of the area and to other cities as  requires. I am with you in that grassroots campaigning is a visceral necessity if the USA is to maintain (or return to) the historical and political integrity that it once had. "We the people.." is still a statement that gives me chills when I read it.

BUT--

That being said, I believe that most of your diatribe is based on a perceived slight from a man who has over and over prefaced what he says by letting you know that you won't hear the high handed speech writing of presidents past coming out of his mouth, that he talks like the people he represents... Your argument is colored by your republicanism.

Yes, his choice of words is unfortunate; I don't think he intended to slight anyone, I think he was speaking off the cuff and it came out differently than he thought it would. Believe me, if the man chose to insult a group/party ( and he has, look at him comments on the bailout bank CEOs) he could and would do it, and well. He didn't insult your beliefs, but inevitably people looking for something to be upset about will find something.
