Michele joined the Wilson County News team in February 2007 after years of working in administration and human resources for both private and public business in San Antonio. In 2003, when her son was born, she decided being a mother again for the last time was her priority and became a stay-at-home mom until her son became school-aged. She then found the perfect job with the Wilson County News which allowed her the flexibility and ability to stay close to her kids.

She currently works as a customer service representative in our front lobby where she assists customers on the phone and in person with their needs on classified advertising, subscriptions, purchasing, and other office duties as needed. At one point with the Wilson County News she was utilized for copy editing in our newsroom, but after about a year, Michele decided working with the public and assisting the WCN staff is what she enjoys more.

Michele and her husband Carlos have five children, two of whom have graduated from college, one attends and plays basketball for a university in Louisiana, one in engineering magnet school in San Antonio, and the youngest attends Floresville North Elementary.
