Olga Garcia started working at the Wilson County News part-time in February of 2001 as the administrative assistant. In March of 2002 Olga accepted the option of adding human resources responsibilities. In November of 2003 Olga came on with the WCN full-time.

As the administrative assistant, Olga oversees and organizes paperwork for administration at the Wilson County News. As her duties expanded, Olga found herself coordinating the human resources department, working as a liaison between the employees and administration.

Olga is a very organized person and likes for things to be consistent and correct, which is why Olga is so helpful in other departments' accounting areas – classified ads, display ads, and subscriptions. Keeping track of the newspaper mailing reports is another large responsibility of Olga's. It consists of weights and charges that need to be verified and checked every week.

Even though Olga enjoys working with numbers, she can often be found at the front desk when the office gets extremely busy. Working with people is something she finds fulfilling.

Originally from the Texas Valley, Olga and her husband, Gerardo, moved to Floresville in 1992. Soon thereafter their beautiful daughter, Kezia, came along. When asked how she likes Floresville, Olga responds, "We love it! We will never move."
