Been there, done that
is exactly what Rebecca Rodriguez has done while employed at Wilson County News. Rebecca joined the staff of WCN in June 1998 on a part-time basis as an administrative assistant.
Within no time Rebecca came on board as a full-time employee.
Rebecca has shifted roles over the past couple of years at WCN from an administrative assistant, to the classified ad manager, and to commercial print editor and design specialist. With her most recent role at WCN, she works closely with the design team contributing her creativity and skills. If you see a unique ad in the newspaper that is simple, yet stunning--theres a big possibility that Rebecca was the mastermind behind it.
Not only can Rebecca design an outstanding ad, she can also spice up any printing job--- big or small.
Rebecca is a Floresville native and is married to Humberto "Beto" Rodriguez. Beto has his own handyman business. He pretty much does anything, from painting to plumbing, and lawn work. So, if you need someone for any of these odds and ends, now you know who to call.
Rebecca has three daughters and a stepdaughter. Jessica is now married and lives in Colorado Springs where her husband is stationed. Jessica and Jeremy gave Rebecca and "Beto" their first grandson, Micah.
Veronica joined the Air Force after graduating in 2007 and is now married to Brian Patt who is also serving in the Air Force. In June of 2009, their first-born, Bradn, was born.
Erica will be a junior at Floresville High School and Monica is starting high school this year going into the ninth grade.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys reading, baking and spending time with her family.
