How Yellow Pages Expanded Search Works

Now that you have run your initial search, you have the option to expand your search (if you haven’t found the entry for which you are looking). The expanded search looks for matches on the first three letters of any word typed in the search box.

For example, if you run an expanded search on the words church catholic, the search results will list all entries that include EITHER chu OR cat in the name field, which gives you many more results.
