Aron Michael Sekula, 49, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 14, 2022, in Telluride, Colo., while on a trip with family and friends that he so dearly loved. Aron was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and best friend who was always there to lend a hand or share a laugh, in tough times and in good.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, Aron graduated from St. Gerard Catholic High School and earned his degree from Texas State Technical College. He was a leader and loyal colleague at Five Star Electric for 26 years, most recently as Vice President of Engineering.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Sekula, in memory of whom he and his family founded and competed in the Raymond Sekula Annual Fishing Tournament in Port Aransas.
Aron is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 22 years, Jennifer Jill Sekula; daughters Ally Rae Sekula and Haley Catherine Sekula; mother Janette Sekula; siblings Todd, Lisa, Rene, and Jason Sekula and wife Olivia; and nephews and niece Tyler, Kara, and Cody.
The family received friends on Saturday, March 26, from 2-3 pm. in the Porter Loring North Chapel in San Antonio.
A memorial service was held on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday in the Petroleum Club in San Antonio.
