Celadina “Sally” Arevalos, 89, of Poth, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022. Sally was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Falls City to Fidencio and Olaya Ochoa Valadez.

Sally worked for the Poth Independent School District for many years in the Nutrition Department. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fidencio and Olaya Valadez; husband Louis “Chito” Arevalos Sr.; daughter Elva Arevalos; grandson Joshua Lee Arevalos; brothers Fidencio Valadez, Librado Valadez, Carlos Valadez, and Pablo Valadez Sr.; sisters Beatrice Flores, Deloros Hoyos, Flora Ramirez, and Anita Martinez; and son-in-law Sam Garcia Jr.

Sally is survived by her children, Minnie (Tony) Nunez, Louis (MaryJane) Arevalos Jr., Patricia Garcia, Randy (Melissa) Arevalos, and Ruben Arevalos; sister Bobbie Peña; brother Rumaldo Valadez; grandchildren Antonio Nunez Jr., Elva Nunez, John Arevalos, Deanna Lynn Peña, Justin Arevalos, James Arevalos, Christopher Arevalos, and Matthew Arevalos, Louis Arevalos III, Tina Arevalos, Adam Arevalos, Carlos Herrera, Paul Arevalos, Pilar Arevalos, John A. Gonzales, Sam Garcia III, and Stacie Garcia; 35 great-grandchildren; and seven great-greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, from 5-7 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Poth.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth.

Interment will follow in the Blessed Sacrament Cemetery in Poth.
