Early voting starts Monday, June 12, in the runoff election for Floresville City Council, Place 3.

There was no outright winner of the three-way race for the seat, prompting a runoff election for Saturday, June 24.

It was almost a four-way race on the May 6 ballot; however, an error on incumbent Eduardo Ortiz Villarreal’s application put him out of the race. He continues to serve until the runoff determines the new Place 3 council member.

Jessica Rodriguez-Green, Dustin “Dusty” Honesto, and Roy Idrach were on the ballot. Idrach was eliminated in the May voting, leaving Rodriguez-Green and Honesto to contest the seat. Only seven votes separated them in May.
