Edward ‘Eddie’ M. Eanes

Edward “Eddie” M. Eanes went to be with our Lord after a three-year courageous battle with MDS, on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at the age of 79. Eddie was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, on Jan. 4, 1944, to Cassandra Jane Land and Marvin Murray Eanes.

Eddie retired in 2017 after many years of service in the advertising business. He established his own business, AD-Pro Specialty, and worked for himself alongside his extended family.

During his off time he was in a bowling league, but his real passion was playing golf. When he spent time with the family, he was always the first to bring out a deck of cards to play a good game of poker, 31, and dominos.

In his younger years, Eddie would race at the Pan American Speedway. Eddie was a jack-of-all-trades and could fix anything. Above all, he enjoyed traveling and vacationing with his wife, fur babies, and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Travis Land; and stepmother Aleene Eanes.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Evelyn M. Eanes; his fur baby, Millie; siblings Ronnie Eanes, Marilyn Eanes, and Jeri Lynn Menking; extended family; his in-laws, the Wiatrek family; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 12 p.m. in the MeadowLawn Funeral Home in San Antonio.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice, to include pet charities.
