Emily Sylvia Gorzell, 94, of Falls City, Texas, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Emily was born March 14, 1929, in Panna Maria to Clem Sr. and Theresa (Lyssy) Pollok.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clem Sr. and Theresa Pollok; and her husband of more than 61 years, Henry B. Gorzell.
Emily is survived by her loving children, Shirley Gorzell, Richard Gorzell (Annette), Jeanette Hester, Henry Gorzell Jr. (Shelly), Kathleen Kosub, Joseph Gorzell (Melinda), and Lester Gorzell (Kathy); grandchildren Keith Gorzell (Alex), Brandon Gorzell (Liz), Kristen Buehring (Travis), Cody Gorzell (Morgan), Shannon Prentice (Justin), Jeremy Hester (Hanna), Allison Jurgajtis (Rus), Amanda Gorzell (Matthew Stulting), Lauren Colby (Branden), Christopher Kosub, Jessica Kosub, Julie Kiser (Anthony), Shaun Gorzell (Joanna), Devon Gorzell (Shanna), Jordan Gorzell (Ashton), Alex Constancio (Destiny Obregon), Andrew Constancio, Brittany Morales, Jordan Morales, Francesca Erikson, and Adriana Padron; and great-grandchildren Rhylie Gorzell, Chelsea Gorzell, Aria Gorzell, Mila Gorzell, Breelee Buehring, Bexley Buehring, Grayson Gorzell, Easton Gorzell, Shiloh Johnson, Zuzanna Prentice, Gideon Prentice, Alexandria Jurgajtis, Carter Jurgajtis, Benson Jurgajtis, Kyler Martinez, Trey Martinez, Danny Machado, Jayden Garcia, Aubree Sistos, Tyler Torres, Elizabeth Torres, Jillian Gorzell, August Gorzell, Kaeden Gorzell, Madelynn Gorzell, Bellamy Gorzell, Presley Gorzell, and Harper Gorzell.
Visitation was held Wednesday, July 5, from 9-10 a.m., with a rosary recited at 10 a.m., in Blessed Sacrament Church in Poth.
A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the church.
Interment followed in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Kosciusko.
