Floresville Tigers fall to Pleasanton Eagles

The Floresville High School varsity Tigers sustained their first District loss, against Pleasanton March 24.

The Tigers struck first in the fourth inning, when freshman Austin Beyers (16) hit an opposite field base hit which brought senior Gavin LaFleur (14) home for the Tigers’ only run.

In the sixth inning, Pleasanton hit the Tigers hard by bringing in six runs and taking the lead.

The Tigers were not able to bounce back, losing to Pleasanton 7-1 for their first District loss. The Tigers are now 3-1 in district play.

Floresville took on Devine March 28 and will travel to Somerset for a 7 p.m. game on Friday, March 31.
