Gloria Mae Hansen, 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, in her residence with her daughters by her side. Gloria was born Sept. 22, 1924, in East Swanzey, New Hampshire, to Russell and Myrtle (Marsh) Lane.

Gloria had many hobbies, which included sewing, bunco, bingo, darts, jigsaw puzzles, and family gatherings. Among all of her hobbies, her true love was gambling. Gloria and Art were very much involved with their children’s activities, as well as all the grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur; her son, Skip Hansen; her parents; and sons-in-law Wes Krueger and Richard Shanahan.

Gloria is survived and will be missed by her daughters, Pam Forbis (Denny), Debbie Shanahan, Becky Duelm (Michael), and Judy Krueger- McDougald (Chester); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 15, from 5-7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, with Pastor Bobby Nixon to officiate.
