Missing Stockdale man found

Harry Truxaw, 73, of Stockdale is missing. Anyone with information about him or his whereabouts is asked to call the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office at 830-393-2535 or 911.

Update 9:23 a.m. 10/12/22 – Wilson County Sheriff’s Office advised that Harry Truxaw was found safe and has been returned home.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office invites help from the public to locate Harry Truxaw of Stockdale. The 73-year-old man who reportedly suffers from dementia walked away from his residence in the 5400 block of F.M. 3335 north of Stockdale sometime late last night, Oct. 11, or early Wednesday morning.

Harry is 6 feet tall and weighs about 155 pounds; he has gray hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be wearing a tan, short-sleeved button-down shirt, brown pants, black shoes, and a silver wristwatch. Family members advise that Harry, who was a truck driver, recently expressed wanting to go to Beeville, where he once lived. He may be walking to a gas station or truck stop in the area.
